   Stones Throw Records has built quite the lineup for a small LA indie label (e.g. Jay Dilla, Lee Fields & the Expressions, Peanut Butter Wolf) proving once again that quality beats quantity everytime. One of the firecrackers headlining their impressive roster of ingenue musicians is Ann Arbor Michigan’s resident triple threat (MC/Singer/DJ) Mayer Hawthorne. His latest endeavor entitled appropriately “A Strange Arrangement” is one of the finest works of blue eyed soul you’ll find this year.Take that Thicke! ;)

   And on top of all that the guy has one of the coolest surnames in existence!

It’s unbelievably difficult to compose a manifesto detailing your latest brainchild effort to carve out your own niche in the blogosphere when you’re running on less than a half an hour of sleep and five cups of extra caffeinated tea…….but here goes.
